- The old streets around Hans Jensens Stræde and Overgade.

Odense with kids
Odense is one of the easiest Danish cities to visit with kids because the distances are short. The Andersen House has Ville Vau for little ones, Odense Zoo is open all year, and the Railway Museum is by the station.
Getting there and venues
The train from Copenhagen Central Station to Odense takes about an hour and a half, and from Aarhus about the same. The light rail runs from Tarup in the north through the centre and the station to Hjallese in the south. Posten is at Odense station, and the jazz club Dexter is on Vindegade in the city centre.
Where to stay
A hotel by the station makes it easy to catch a train after a concert at Posten. The city centre puts you within walking distance of the museums and the cathedral.
